The Squirrel that Jumped on the Longarm

A cute little squirrel project jumped on my longarm.  This little orphan block project just makes me so happy!

These prairie points are so much fun.  And don't they look great with that 1/2" inner border?  Don't worry about them sticking up right now.  It's just in the quilting process.  They will behave once the quilt is quilted.  It might get interresting on the quilting. I can manage this many prarie points.  They are totally worth the interresting effect.

As a newsletter subscriber to Canuck Quilter Designs, Joanne sent a free download for the Prairie Point Setting Instructions.  Check out Joanne's pumpkin and maple leaf runners here.

I'm quilting it with a design called "Halo" from Urban Elementz.  I love this design so far.

This is the project I will be working on each Sunday until it is complete.  It's a very small project.  I know it will be completed soon.  Glad those orphan blocks hanging out in my scrap basket by mistake found a happy home.  I just started playing with these blocks earlier this week.  I see more projects like this in my future.

So cute! Are you quilting it with a pantograph from behind the machine? The prairie points seem difficult to manage that way.
