Heart Balloons -- Slow Sunday Stitching

I'm starting to really love the chain stitch.  I'm really catching on to embroidery.  Someday I hope to have enough practice to finish a quit that my grandmother left in her WIP collection.  She passed away in 1975.  But I know I have a little of her with me every time I sew!

Here's my little crib quilt draped over the piano during one of my waiting times.

I've also started a counted cross stitch project for my other to-go bag.  This is getting fun!

Linking up for Slow Sunday Stitching at Kathy's Quilts.  Have a beautiful week.  May is almost here.

Finishing Up RSC18 with Block Lotto Blocks

I'm finishing up the month of April with four more Block Lotto blocks with yellow backgrounds.  I completed six blocks total for the April Block Lotto .   They are called Noon and Light .  I'm not used to these odd sized cuts for blocks.  It sharpened my skills. :)

Linking up with Angela's at SoScrappy for the RSC18 here.

We're SUPER proud of THIS GUY!  He's been doing great in school.  He got to go to the VIP breakfast for getting good grades the past 9 weeks!  WOOHOO!!!

Oh, and here's just a little more "yellow" in my life.  We used to have trouble getting ready for the school bus in the mornings.  I put these two happy faces up on his calendar.  If I have to yell at him in the morning for goofing around or not getting ready or trying to play games on his iPad or the Wii the face with the "8:10" written on it goes on top.  (That would be his time for bed that night.)  If everything runs smoothly he gets the happy face with the "8:40" on it.  We haven't used the 8:10 face since I put them on his calendar about four weeks ago!!!
