In the library with Mr. Plum and the lead pipe?  Nope.  I just finished this in the library. :)

On the Frame Monday

Today I loaded a customer's coin quilt with orange sashings on the longarm.  I just LOVE orange in a quilt.  Festive for this time of year as well!  This particular customer loves to use a flat sheet for her backing fabric.  I have not had any problems using a sheet as backings (knock on wood) as long as they are big enough.  Flannel sheets work just as well for me too.

I am quilting it using my Circle Lord giant template board called Jesters.  I love this versatile pattern.

Here's the view from the back of my longarm.  What a fun giant template board!

Slow Sunday Stitching... The Last One for October, 2018

The EPP hexagons that I finished on Wednesday started to bloom into another flower:

Hopefully I'll finish the flower this week.  I'm booked with jobs until Thanksgiving.

I'd also like to share a hand-stitched beauty that I longarmed for a customer this week.

You can read more about it on my Friday Finish post here.

Greens... RSC18

Greens and blues (and neutrals) are by far my fullest scrap bins.  My son cut out more greens for me this week so that I can add them to his secret Ohio quilt.  I can share this much with you:

He loves ironing the fabrics and cranking them through my Accuquilt.  It keeps him busy.

Four Friday Finishes in a Row!

I'm on a roll.  This makes four Friday Finishes in a row!  I'm motivated by trying to get customer quilts back to the customers so that they can finish them for Christmas gifts.

I longarm quilted it using my Double Bubble template from R&S.  It looks cool from the back.

WIP Wednesday 10.24.18

A lot of stitches were made this week!  I basted EPP hexagons galore.

I nearly finished a vintage customer quilt top.  I had to take it off of the frame and add to the backing fabric...

I finished the longarm quilting on this customer quilt and delivered it to the happy customer.

I finished six more Block Lotto blocks for October.

I put a bright border on this wall hanging.

More EPP hexie flowers bloomed onto another block.

Vintage Customer Quilt on the Frame

I was cruising along on this customer quilt.  I was down to the last row.  Zing...  The back the customer gave me was not long enough.  Off the frame it is for repair.  I trimmed the extra fabric on the sides and added it to the end so that there will be enough.  Most of it will be trimmed with the border.

Oh how I dislike taking a partially longarmed quilt off the frame and having to line it back up again.  But it must be done...

Slow Sunday Stitching

More stitches were made this week.  You can see I was working in the Suburban in the dark parking lot while waiting for work to start.  I had plenty of light...it just doesn't look like it in this picture.

Loved this classroom!  It was a great place to finish this flower.  I did not get it stitched to the block.
Look at the fun array of pencils and pens and markers and highlighters -- typical teacher desk.

I made progress on finishing one of my projects.  This may be one of my oldest WIPS!  I started it when I was in high school.  I bought this kit when I worked at Gold Circle (such a great store in it's day.)  That was back in 1982!!!  Yes, a 36 year old WIP!

I completed most of the cross stitch in 1982 and 1983 on and off while waiting to go to work.  I LOVE how detailed my work was back then.  These stitches are tiny.  It says, "A friend is someone who knows you are not perfect, but treats you as if you were."

I remember that this had a plastic heart-shaped frame.  I didn't care much for the frame.  I probably still have it somewhere.  I am going to make it a mini quilt and hang it on the wall...eventually.

This week I have another appointment at the service shop to repair a warranty item.  I should have a few hours to stitch.  Hopefully I'll finish the last flower in the set.

Scrap Saturday 10.20.18

I played with a few more lime green scraps this week.  Here's six more blocks for the October Block Lotto.  Only four of the blocks used the green.  I didn't want to overdo it.  :)

Three In a Row!

Three weeks in a row and I've had Friday Finishes!  I'm happy; customers are happy.

It was the Circle Lord Swirls giant template board for this one.  The customer LOVED it!  This is the first quilt I have done for this customer.

Swirls & More Swirls

Swirls and more swirls on this customer quilt.  Hoping for another Friday Finish!

Last week our son wanted to be a ninja for Halloween.  Temps dropped into the 40's here in Ohio.  Now he wants to be a ninja with a hairy chest.  Oh that kid!

Customer 4-Patch Quilt on the Frame -- WIP Wednesday

This week I have a scrappy 4-patch quilt on the frame.  This customer let me decide on the quilting pattern.  If you know me by now, swirls it is.  Circle Lord Swirls giant board is my go-to pattern for quilts with lots of squares and straight lines.

I was so excited to win the September Wonky Basket blocks from the Block Lotto.  All of the blocks are "home".  I'll stare at this picture for a while and someday decide on how to arrange them.

This little hexagon flower bloomed via EPP.

And some of the blooms got planted.

I made some Halloween themed blocks for the Block Lotto.  Stay tuned for more to come!

I finished this bright string quilt for a customer.  Circle Lord Swirls giant board to the rescue again!

Don't freak out at the 70 projects.  I've had list in the upper 90's in the past.  I did not have any finishes this week.
