RSC17 Last Green Scrap Saturday
It's the last green scrap Saturday for May already for the RSC17.
I tried numerous times to load the pics of my #100blocks100days2017 challenge on Instagram. We are using the book 100 Modern Quilt Blocks (Tula Pink's City Sampler). I made a block each day this week... I just can't get the picture to load at the moment...
I worked in a few more Garden Party blocks. I still need five more to make a row.
Linking up here. with Angela of SoScrappy blog for the RSC17. Check out all the other fun happening there. We have so many creative quilters that check in each week. It's fun to see our group grow and grow. I LOVE all the inspiration!

WIP Wednesday 5.24.17
FOUR more days of school until summer vacation!!! Here's what happened this week:
I finished quilt #18 for 2017! This is One House, Two House. It's a pattern by Cheryl Wall in her book called Welcome Home, Surround Yourself with Country Warmth. It measures a nice wall sized 38.5" x 43.5".
I got out another big quilt to longarm and finish for the guild. The block is called Card Trick. I need to make a back for it next.
The Garden Party blocks multiplied. Four more 'til I add another row! (Pattern by Bonnie Hunter.)
I did some stem and kite string embroidery for Slow Sunday Stitching:
I used more green scraps for some plus blocks:
Then I played with more green scraps for my #100days100blocks2017 on Instagram:
I posted about My Heart Skips a Beat H2H quilt just one more time for the big party here..

2017 H2H Final Linky Party
It's time to see the parade of beautiful quilts that were made for the 2017 H2H Charity Quilt Drive this year. It was a record year. I'm linking up for the big party here..
This quilt has been received by Emily from Em's Scrap bag for Happy Chemo. I'm joining the H2H linky party. Can't wait to see the parade of quilt progress.
My Heart Skips a Beat quilt is complete! This is my 2017 contribution for the H2H Charity Quilt drive. I don't usually name my quilts. But this one is called "My Heart Skips a Beat". I call it that because I won these blocks from Linda who blogs at Art In Search.. Linda puts together beautiful comfort quilts. These "Hearts Galore" were blocks given to Linda. She put them up for adoption. The orphan block adoption was hosted by Cynthia's blog, Quilting is More Fun Than Housework. This quilt was mailed to Happy Chemo as an H2H quilt. Emily from Em's Scrap bag will be distributing the quilts. H2H stands for Hands to Help. It's a comfort quilt charity drive that is driven by Sarah Craig at Confessions of a Fabric Addict. Look at all the LOVE that has gone into this quilt already.
It measures 61" x 93". I quilted it with one of my new to me pantographs. I recently purchased a whole box of them on APQS. It was great practice for me and it turned out quite cute (if I don't say so myself.)
The back is super scrappy. This month for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge (RSC17) at Angela's blog, SoScrappy, we are focusing on using multi-colored fabrics that don't really fit into a color family. I thought that would be a great place for some bright, fun fabrics. There are bright pinks, fishing lures, hearts, flowers, picnic foods, plaids, ducks in the garden, buttons, and some scrappy bow tie blocks. They worked perfectly for the back of the quilt.
Here in the plaid fabric you can see some of the 10" Feathered Paisley pantograph quilting. The design is by Anne Bright at www.annebright.com.

Some fun multi-colored fabrics were used.
Somehow all this scrappy goodness works for this quilt. I love it when it all comes together. The binding is a multi-colored fabric as well. I love a striped binding. Remember to check out ALL the gorgeous quilts donated to the H2H charities this year here.

Slow Sunday Stitching 5.21.17
I'm working on embroidering the stems and kite strings on my kite girl blocks. Red is done! The other two still need kite strings. This is fun. It's also fun to look at the pictures and try to remember where I was when I did them. I love my "sew to go" bag!
I made these Kite Girl blocks during the RSC (Rainbow Scrap Challenge) in 2014. It is an old WIP or UFO (Work in Progress or Unfinished Object.) The block is made from 2" squares. The block pattern can be found at Q is for Quilter blog.
Thanks to the group that links each Sunday at Kathy's Quilts for Slow Sunday Stitching. I am motivated by their beautiful projects. Click by and check out all the other GORGEOUS projects at today's linky party here.

One House, Two House -- A Friday Finish
I'm excited to have my OMG (One Main Goal) quilt finished for the month of May. Whoop, Whoop! It's called One House, Two House. It's a pattern by Cheryl Wall in her book called Welcome Home, Surround Yourself with Country Warmth.
It measures a nice wall sized 38.5" x 43.5".
I quilted it with the Circle Lord Square Dance giant template board. What a nice texture this board has! I know I will use it again and again. The back is a simple plaid shirting fabric.

This quilt was my OMG quit for May -- and my American Patchwork & Quilting UFO Challenge on Facebook group. I love the way everyone cheers everybody else on to finish those UFOs.
This winter photo was when the quilt was just a top. I love the look of it in the snow background too.
This was one of the quilts that I had planned to finish this quarter. I posted about it in my Finish-A-Long 2017 Q2 Goals Post here.
I'm happy to link up this finish here.
I'm linking up with Patty at Elm Street Quilts for the OMG May Link-Up. Come play with us. Link up a UFO that you want to finish this month!

WIP Wednesday 5.17.17
This week marked 17 finishes this year for 2017! I'm super happy to be attacking my WIP list!
This week I finished my Underpants Project.
I completed Block 21 of 25 of the Pat Sloan Solstice Challenge -- 4 blocks to go!
I got out all the kite girls (I still need an orange one). I started the slow stitching (embroidery) chains to more this quilt closer to finishing.
It's a learning process.
Sometimes oops...
I made two green Fortune Teller blocks to move an older RSC project along. This block is from the book Sunday Morning Quilts by Amanda Jean Nyberg and Cheryl Arkison.
