WIP Wednesday 8.3.2022

I'm excited I had a cute finish this week!  Pumpkins & The Beanstalk is done.  This pattern is by Fig Tree & Co.  You can read all the details about it here.

I started slow stiching again with a small pin cushion project (actually two).  This is the second one that is using some of my Grandma's white buttons.  I stitched at the bowling alley.

You get the idea of the first one done while camping.

I decided to name my GO! ABCs quilt as my OMG quilt for August.

Now that Pumpkins & The Beanstalk is complete, I will be working on Random Ohio Stars a little each Sunday.  I have found that if I dedicate just a little time each Sunday to working on a specific project that it keeps it fresh in my mind and moves it to completion.  It's definitely helping me whittle away at my WIP list.  My WIP list was in the 90's a few years ago.  Now it's less than half with unfinished projects.  Here's the first row of Random Ohio Stars.

When I dropped off the quilt that I finished last week my friend told me that she only had one more quilt to quilt for now.  She also invited me to her 90th birthday party next month.  On this list I'll call it "Large Square Patchwork Quilt". I noticed she gave me pieces of batting.  I'll have to make a frankenbatting for it.  Here it is:

It's been a rough week.  Our son had his tonsils out on Thursday, 7/28.  It's day 6 of recovery.  Due to the size of the tonsils removed, the doctor predicted that days 3-7 would be a little rough.  Hope that's right.

I'm linking up with Susan for Midweek Makers here.

Wow, that is a lot of UFOs!! Maybe we'll have a snowstorm this winter to keep you home and finishing projects.

I hope Owen is doing well. I like that you are making another pin cushion. It is a quick and fun way to do something with all those buttons sitting around. I may have to make a couple more myself.

Hope he's feeling better - nothing like a good excuse to have ICE CREAM any time of the year!
The pumpkins are great - giving me an idea to get moving as summer is almost over despite the high temps. Thanks
