GO! ABC Quilt -- August OMG

I have set my one main goal (OMG) for August to complete the GO! ABC Quilt.

I'll be adding a small (3.5" or so) black border on it next.  I'm just not comfortable longarm quilting all those 2.5" squares on the edge like that.  I'm thrilled how the colors were disbursed in this quilt because I worked on different colored scraps by month for the RSC21 (Rainbow Scrap Challenge). The back is made.  It's time to make it an August finish.

You can find the pattern for the GO! ABCs Throw Quilt Pattern on the Accuquilt site here.  It's a free download as of right now.

I'm linking up at Elm Street Quilts for the August goal setting party here.

I'm happy how I have kept up with the 2022 UFO Challenge.  The quilt on my list for August is already complete.

I feel the same way about all those seams on the edge going into the binding. I would use a border also. It will look terrific without the letters getting caught in the binding. Nice job!

This quilt is fabulous! I like the idea of the 2.5" squares in the same variety of fabrics around as an out side border, but I would add a narrow solid black border to anchor down all those seams then bind it in the black.
