WIP Wednesday 1.30.19 -- Snow Day!

And just like that, January is almost done.  I did move a lot of projects forward this week!  I plan on getting a bunch of piecing done today and tomorrow because we have TWO snow days due to the extreme cold (down to the negative teens) and ice.

I finished this string log-cabin inspired quilt.  It measures 52" x 53".

Today I hope to finish the brown string blocks for Sand Castles (a Bonnie Hunter pattern from her newest book, String Frenzy.)  I will be using these each month as I make blocks in the color of the month for the RSC19.  I made a lot of progress on these blocks this week. Here's my happy little stack:

The Sand Castle blocks look like this when assembled:

This is my new project called Owl's Well That Ends Well.  It's an RSC19 project I'll try to make two blocks per month.  I think they are pretty cute.

I finished all of the red connector blocks for Garden Party (a Bonnie Hunter pattern.)

I found these blocks in an RSC (Rainbow Scrap Challenge) box and made a red one.

In December, 2018, I was lucky and won the December Block Lotto.  Click here to go to the Block Lotto site.  Here are all of the blocks that I won that month:

This is the slow stitching project that I started last week.  It's a mystery sampler.

Progress in a big way! I really love the string log cabin quilt, after all it has pink in it! There is something satisfying about a stack of pieced blocks!

I always feel so much better about my list after I see yours is even longer, and you are still working on them all in turn! These are some wonderful scrap projects, and those owls are just too cute. I like the string log cabin and my think about doing one like that with my short leftover pieces. Thanks for the inspiration!
