Scrap Happy Saturday RSC17

Today was a day I had waited about a year for.  Finally, I got to meet Bonnie Hunter of Quiltville's Quips & Snips!  She came to MY quilt guild -- The Osnaburg Quilt and Fiber Arts Guild in Ohio.

I didn't get much red scrap sewing done this week, but I WON the "red" challenge quilt today at our annual spring tea.

To be eligible to win one of the three challenge quilts, one must make a block (or two or three) which serve are entries into the drawing with the challenge fabric provided by the guild that was distributed at the 2016 Spring Tea.  Winner must also be present for the drawing.

It was a great day!  Happy 10th anniversary to the Osnaburg Quilt and Fiber Art Guild!

Linking up with Angela at SoScrappy for Scrap Happy Saturday here..

Here's the other two quilts that were made:

I made the Sawtooth star on the top right with the Ohio Star center.  I also made the Sawtooth star in the third row down in the center.

  8. Talk about hitting the jackpot. It sounds like a perfect week. Congratulations on winning the quilt. The 2 sawtooth blocks you made look great in the completed quilts. I'm sure Bonnie was delighted to see your version of her quilt.

  9. They say three times lucky. Have you bought a lottery ticket? Great win. Was Bonnie as entertaining in person as her blog?
