WIP Wednesday 3.10.21

It's been another busy week here.  Spring weather is coming.  Get ready to play outside!

I finished my Hot Mess Tempterature quilt.  It comes off my long list!  It finished at 36" x 36".  I tested out some templates that I got on Wish that I won't be using again.  You can see that quilting on the left side of the quilt.  Then I quilted it with my Urban Elementz template called Ba Da Bing.  The last time I used this template it was just too difficult.  I think it turned out great this time.  Yeah!  I finished it off with two strips of pink binding that I had left over from two other quilts.  Now that's used up and done.

Here's the back in the ready for spring grass in the backyard.  It's an off-pink background with pine cones, ribbons, possibly pomegranates, and a nut or something.  It has a Christmas vibe with a pink background.  I'm pretty sure it was from the early 90's.  It still had the tag on it from Ames.

I also used up all the miscellaneous partial bobbins of thread for my longarm.  You can't even notice the slight color changes of pink, light blue, jean gold, and white on the back.

I finished my Churn Dash quilt.  You can read all about it here.

I finished quilting my Sand Castles (a Bonnie Hunter pattern) quilt.  I quilted it using jean gold thread and my Circle Lord giant template board called 7 Treasures of Buddah.  It has a piece backing of miscellaneous large yellow pieces that I made during the February RSC21.

I also finished the quilting on the Citrus Quilt.

I worked on my leader/ender project.  It's coming together quickly.  This is Bricks & Stepping Stones.  It's a free pattern on the Bonnie Hunter site.

I made more rail fence blocks.  64/900 complete this week.

My Santa Tree Skirt is coming along AWESOME.  Here's one of the trees.

I was the lucky winner on Carla's blog, Creatin' in the Sticks, during the Show Your Stripes Blog Hop.  I won a gift certificate to the Fat Quarter Shop.  I quickly turned it into some patterns.  The Tablerunners Bliss book has 20 fabulous patterns for table toppers.  It will come in handy for Joy's Table Scraps Challenge in each color of the month for the RSC21.

I'm linking up with Midweek Makers.  Enjoy all the eye candy -- especially the super cool peppermint reindeer this week.

There's been a lot of this going on.

This week was our last week for the bowling league.  I doubt if we are going to the banquet.  We will probably continue to bowl weekly just to get out of the house.  We know the non-busy times.

We had time for a little golf too.

And of course, yard jarts -- Well they aren't the "dangerous" jarts we had as kids, but same concept.

You have had a very busy week, Kathy with so many pretty projects. Your Hot Mess Temperature Quilt looks amazing and love your Churn Dash. Owen looks like he has been very busy as well. Hope the rest of your week is just as fabulous.

I really like your hot mess temperature quilt. You've been so productive with great results. Ah yes, those old lawn darts were a tad bit dangerous.
