Slow Sunday Stitching

My slow Sunday stitching project continues to get a few stitches in here and there.  Here I am at the bowling alley yesterday morning getting a few more leaves put on this tree.

I'm linking up with Kathy at Kathy's Quilts for Slow Sunday Stitching.  Come check out the fun.

My project also went with me to a basketball game.  Our son is in a group called Jumpsters and Hoopsters.  Elementary kids in the group have a routine and make appearances at high school events.  There are kids with jump ropes and kids with basketballs.  It's a fun way to keep kids interested and active.

Here's Mr. Sunshine right in front of the bleachers.  He did awesome!  He was so proud of his tricks!

He really worked up a sweat.  This is his first time at a high school basketball game.  He liked it.

These guys have been friends since they were toddlers.

You always seem to be sewing in such interesting places! I have sewed in several curling clubs while watching my daughter curl.

When my son was in high school, I did a LOT of stitching at wrestling meets when he was competing and lots of other events when his JROTC unit did the flag ceremony to start (he carried the USMC colors for most of his sophomore year, all of his junior year and the national colors his senior year. His unit even competed nationally and won the west coast regional when he was a senior.)

Did you know that one of the APQ Bucket List items for this year is "#14 -Take your handwork to a surprising location"? Well, you certainly can check that one off of your list! Certainly a great way to get your stitching in.

I am always amazed that you can stitch in a variety of places. That looks like a fun way for your son to be active.
