WIP Wednesday 7.12.17

We're cruising right through summer quilting.  I'm thrilled tohave TWO big finishes this week.  Hold on tight, it was a SUPER PRODUCTIVE week. Here's the scoop:

I finished my 'Tis the Season quilt designed by Cindy Staub of Quilt Doodle Designs.   You can read all the details on this blog post.

I also finished this Big Basket Quilt.  It is a charity quilt for my local quilt guild.

I completed the longarm quilting on this customer quilt this week.  I quilted it with Circle Lord's giant template board called Milkyway.  The stars and swirls look great on it.

I played with yellow scraps and made a Picadilly Circle block and some 4-patches for June RSC17.

I found some little blue 1.5" squares that I could use and made more 4-patches for a Go Four It block

Another row is done.  This quilt is growing just like the Garden Party did.  I'm trying to simulate the same colors that are in the pattern in the April, 2015 issue of American Patchwork & Quilting.  Next week I hope to make more progress in blue with my Garden Party project.

I put our 10-year old son to work sorting blues into light, navy, and brights/mediums.  He did great.  As I finish up a few WIPS I'm going to cave to temptation and join Kevin the Quilter in Sapphire Stars (it's only one clue a month, right?)  I'll also be joining the QA at Alycia Quilts.  She makes gorgeous Quilts of Valor.  She claims that each clue will take ONE HOUR OR LESS.

I'm going to have to thank Joy who blogs at The Joyful Quitler for twisting my arm to do these.  It's all in fun!

I played with some tiny scraps and made these blocks.  These are part of the Marvelous Mini Monday at Temecula Quilt Company.  We're half way there!

This charity quilt for my local guild made it to the longarm.  Expect a Friday Finish!

For my Slow Sunday Stitching this bear's face was embroidered while our son was at the dentist.

It's time to think about the 2017 Pet's On Quilts in August, 2017.  Check out Lily Pad Quilting to grab the button!

I'm trying to get a good picture of my chickens or ducks on a quilt...

As always, you do a phenomenal job on your quilting skills. I really look forward to your posts popping up in my blog reading list. There are so many great quilt-a-longs and mystery quilts right now. It looks like you've picked some fun ones to work on. --Andrea

I love your blue row by row. The scrappy 4 patch blocks look nice too. I've been working on a few of those as well.
