'Tis The Season 2016 BOM Quilt Doodle Designs -- ANOTHER Friday Finish

This quilt has been sitting on the shelf long enough.  Today's the day to I finished it.  It just needed buttons for the finish.  This was my APQS UFO Challenge 2017 project for July to finish.  It's DONE!  I'm super happy with it.  Happy dance, happy dance.

This quilt was designed by Cindy Staub of Quilt Doodle Designs.  She offered it to us as a free BOM as long as you printed each pattern during the current month.  January 2016 was "blue" month for the RSC16 (Rainbow Scrap Challenge).  I decided then that it would be an all blue/white quilt.

If you LOVE this item, it is available for sale in my Etsy Shop!

Her design called for yo-yo's on the bottom of the hat.  I'm not big on yo-yo's at this time.

I did a rough-edge applique on the reindeer antlers.  I loved that Cindy's design showed that the eyes were a little slanted on the reindeer.  So cute.

I love the different directions of the noses of the snowmen in the corners.

I longarm quilted it with a Circle Lord giant template board called Milkyway.  The stars and swirls is a versatile pattern.  I thought it went great with this wintery quilt.  It also gave it a nice texture.  It is backed with a vintage sheet that I found at a thrift shop.  It is super soft.

I'm linking up at SewCanShe for Show Off Saturday.

This is finish number TWO for my Q3 FAL.  I'll be linking up at the end of the quarter for this.

I'm loving the looks of my APQS form for 2017 UFOs!  I've met all my goals for this year except for one so far.  Whohoo!
