This quilt was designed by Cindy Staub of Quilt Doodle Designs. She offered it to us as a free BOM as long as you printed each pattern during the current month. January 2016 was "blue" month for the RSC16 (Rainbow Scrap Challenge). I decided then that it would be an all blue/white quilt.
If you LOVE this item, it is available for sale in my Etsy Shop!
Her design called for yo-yo's on the bottom of the hat. I'm not big on yo-yo's at this time.
I did a rough-edge applique on the reindeer antlers. I loved that Cindy's design showed that the eyes were a little slanted on the reindeer. So cute.
I love the different directions of the noses of the snowmen in the corners.
I longarm quilted it with a Circle Lord giant template board called Milkyway. The stars and swirls is a versatile pattern. I thought it went great with this wintery quilt. It also gave it a nice texture. It is backed with a vintage sheet that I found at a thrift shop. It is super soft.
I'm linking up at SewCanShe for Show Off Saturday.

That's a fantastic finish! All those cool blues and reminiscences of winter are cooling me off on this fine summer day. --Andrea
