Big O -- And my Helper

It was a little chilly (51 degrees F) here in Ohio.  My husband texted me that he "turned the furnace on".  That meant that he wanted to work in the garage while I quilted.  My Nolting 23" longarm is not in the house that we live in, but in the house that is a WIP...  I didn't plan on quilting, but since the furnace was on I decided to walk up to the other house.

I have had my Big O (blocks won in the Block Lotto on 12.31.2014) ready to be quilted for a while and I decided I wanted to play with my Circle Lord Square Dance Giant Template Board.

Here's a close-up shot of the quilting.  Believe it or not, this is my first quilt with a black background.  I'm quilting it with black thread.

Here's the back of my machine (table) showing the Circle Lord Square Dance Giant Template Board.

All of a sudden my "helper" wanted to "play".

He started to take over!  He liked following the maze.  His stitches are a little squiggly, but I'm leaving them there.  When I showed my husband the stitches he made IN THE CENTER OF THE QUILT, my husband told me that this is now one of his favorite quilts.

I've never posted a video on my blog, but this is how easy it is to use the Circle Lord boards.

When we walked back down the path to the house we live in, Owen wanted to take a picture of today.  This is the view from our front porch of the house we live in and down the driveway.  Oh how I just LOVE how everything is getting greener, finally!  The lilacs are starting to bloom already.

Linking up with Show & Tell Monday with Bambi.

There's another linky party at Em's Scrap Bag.  Moving it forward, Monday!

I'm also linking up with Cynthia for Oh Scrap! at Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework.

The view is so pretty and green now. It does look like your helper was enjoying his quilting. I couldn't get the video to work, but he sure looks involved in the project.

What a great quilt. Your helper looks like he was having fun with the quilting and now every time you look at it both of you will be able to remember the fun he had.
