WIP Wednesday 1,7.15

Happy January, 2015.  I've got a lot of quilting plans in store for 2015.  I ALWAYS have more than fifteen projects going on at one time.  This year my plan is to finish two quilts for every one I start.  Wish me luck on that one.  Let's get started with what happened this week.

I quilted my Plaid Patches quilt with the longarm template from Circle Lord called Cosmos.  Here's my 27" table topper.  This was one of my RSC14 projects, playing with 1.5" strips of browns and greys.  The pattern can be found in the book Fast, Fun, and Fabulous Quilts, by Connie Tesene and Mary Tendall of Country Threads.  Here's the front:

Here's a poor picture to show the back and the quilting:

Here's the first two rows of my Bonnie Hunter Mystery Quilt, Grand Illusion.  I'm calling it the first two rows because the first row (with the constant blue squares) is the sashing row.  The next row are the six Grand Illusion blocks.  I went with the constant blue squares in the sashing because my scrappy colors are just sooooo crazy.  Hopefully I'll do a row of sashing and a row of blocks a week.  You can check out Bonnie Hunter's site, Quiltville, for more info on Grand Illusion.

I made the first sampler block within the sawtooth star for the RSC15.  You can find out more about the RSC15 at Angela's blog, soscrappy,

Deb from StitchinTherapy has motivated me to string it along this year too.  I'm going to work on Sonja's Windows.  It is from America Loves Scrap Quilts 2009.   I made all 10 blocks on New Years eve/day.  Here's my string blocks to start:

I took in FIVE customer quilts to longarm!  (Sorry, no photos at this time.) Soooo excited!!!

I'm linking up with Lee at Freshly Pieced for WIP Wednesday!
