WIP Wednesday 12.26.18

It's been a busy holiday week with lots of family, cooking, baking, and fun.  There was visiting, wrapping, gifting, and it's done.  Another Christmas in the books.  I did get some sewing done...

I found a stack of paper plates with Accuquilt cut pieces of the class I took with Bonnie Hunter in the spring of 2017.  These are box kite blocks.  I definitely need to cut and sew many, many more.  BUT I moved this little quilt forward.  Although this is not my favorite pattern of Bonnie's, it is a cute block.  I will most likely make a baby quilt.  BUT the information and skills I gained from taking Bonnie Hunter's workshop are so valuable to me.  Wow!  What a day of fun that was.  I will value this information in my future quilts!  If you ever get a chance to take a workshop with Bonnie, do it!

I loaded this embroidered crib quilt on the longarm.  I hope to have some quilting time today or tomorrow.  Our son got a metal detector for Christmas.  If the weather is nice out, I'll have to keep an eye outside to see what he is digging up.  He's destined to find treasure.

Here he is wandering off with his metal detector...

Here's a pic of the embroidered crib quilt on the longarm frame:

Bonnie Hunter gave us a Clue #5 on Friday.  It was a faster than usual clue for a busy week.  I have a feeling we'll be making that other half chevron sometime soon.  That will take a while if we do.  We'll see.  I usually don't guess right when I speculate where the mystery is going.  I'm happy I'm participating in the Good Fortune Mystery.

In language arts class I added this cute little pear tree to my cross stitch project.  William Shakespeare stood by.  I love these color combinations for inspiration.

I finished this little spool table topper.  It was a leader/ender challenge with Bonnie Hunter in 2012.

My husband showed me a sink hole that goes to a mine shaft on our property.  It's kinda scary.  Hopefully he will fill it in during his holiday vacation.  We can see down over 20 feet.

Linking up with Susan at Quilt Fabrication for Midweek Makers.

I did not start any new projects this week.   My WIP list is now at 63 projects.  I've had list in the upper 90's in the past.  String quilt alongs are calling my name in 2019.  If I finish two projects this week I may join in at least two string projects.
