WIP Wednesday 12.10.14

For the busy month of December, a lot of sewing is getting done.  Here's what happened this week:

I finished the red churn dashes for  Scrumptious Butter Churn by Jo at Jo's Country Junction for FREE!!!  I LOVE the print fabric (which was the instructions to a Christmas vest -- probably from the 80's.)  It's so IN right now.

Here are the green ones I finished this weekend for the RSC14.

I finished clue #2 for Bonnie Hunter's Grand Illusion (button on my sidebar).  Here they are all neat and organized in their little boxes with an empty box ready to go for Friday.  When doing a quilt like this it's soooo important for me to keep all the blocks that are made on a stack going in the same direction.  Organization is key.

Chippy our Elf on the Shelf had to work a little today too.

I finished Block 2 of Sew Sweet Simplicity .  I'm not thrilled with working with the shirtings as much as I thought I would be.  The little lines makes it look like my blocks are really crooked.  I didn't have 100% cotton shirts.  Some of the fabrics stretch and are tricky.  I'm learning something new every day.  I'm going to just stick with it.  This is a charity quilt for my guild.

Here's a tutu I made for a lady at church -- Her daughter loves to dress her granddaughter in tutus!  This one matches her Frozen shirt.

My WIP count this week is 35.  My WIP goal for New Years Day 2015 is 19.  Uh oh, I've got a ways to go!  I'm linking up with Lee at Freshly Pieced for WIP Wednesday!

Wow, you've got a lot going on! Your churn dashes are fun, and I bet that lucky little girl will never take the tutu off! Have a great day! :)

Happy Dance on being done with clue two! I too am working on shirting blocks...I try to just get over the way the lines make it look wonkier than it is. Your block is cute!
