The Blue HST Crib Quilt

When I dropped off my friend's quilt that I finished longarming for her on Friday, of course she had another small one for me to quilt for her.

This is the first time I have seen her use HSTs to make pinwheels!  I know this is at least the 12th quilt (if not more) that she has had me longarm for her.  I love seeing her skills progress!  Even as her arthritis and sight gives her problems she still gets better and better at her sewing skills!

The fabric she gave me for the back is only a little bigger than the quilt top.  I will have to add my usual pieces so that I can load it nicely on the longarm.

I know what a challenge it can be to ease in all that fullness! It's nice of you to share the improvement of her quiltmaking skills, Kathy. I'm sure she is SEW pleased when you notice her progress!

I hope you don't have too many issues quilting this one. At least it is small.

It must be so rewarding for your friend to finish her quilt tops in spite of her arthritis and vision problems. And then to see them quilted must bring her much joy.
