WIP Wednesday 7.22.2020

Here we are at Wednesday again.  Here's my report:

I finished the longarm work on this quilt and returned it to my friend yesterday.  She was happy.  She gave me another family quilt to longarm.  It has embroidered names and birthdays in Christmas colors.  I didn't have time for a photo.  I hope to get that on the frame after the Spider quilt.  I did add it to my never-shortening list of WIPS.

I longarm quilted it using my Circle Lord giant template board called Ribbles.  I'm not a huge fan of this design, but she gave me a high loft polyester batting and it just needed a bigger design.

It made a nice design on the back.  The backing again was a gently used polyester flat sheet.

I loaded my #Spidersewalong quilt onto the longarm frame and started quilting lines for the spider web.  I'm not so sure if I'm going to continue with the spider web quilting.  I'm not a fan at this point.  I saw another participant in the sewalong used straight line vertical quilting and it was really cute.

I need to think about it some more.

I posted about my garden progress here and here.  I think the baby eggplants are adorable.  They should be ready to pick by this time next week or sooner.

My broody hen, Blondie, is still sitting on her clutch of eggs!  It could get exciting this weekend!

I'm not caught up with the group on the Linen & Threads SAL, but I'm still stitching.

I made a back for this vintage looking quilt.  I've had it in my posession for quite some time.  It's time to move it along.  I'm probably not going to get to stitching to too many dark blue scraps for the RSC.

Good job getting that quilt done so fast! Yes, you can't make any headway on your list when she keeps bringing you another quilt to replace the one you just got done! LOL!!! I like the spiderweb idea; don't give up on it yet. First, sometimes you have to get more stitching done before the design starts to come together and second, do you really want to tear out the quilting you already have done?

Your Baptist Fan template board would have worked well on your client quilt, as well. Baby eggplant? TOO cute (and soon to be delicious!!!)
