Goodbye Big TV

We have had our big tv since 1998.  All of the people on the tv were PINK regardless of nationality.  Everything that was supposed to be brown or red were PINK -- including our Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns...  It was time to get a new, updated flatscreen tv.  There were great sales at Best Buy the day before Thanksgiving.

The fun part was watching the old tv get hauled away hydraulically (Ed style).

The funny (to me) part is that one of my family members is super jealous of how handy Ed is.  He's an AMAZING man and husband and father.  Some are very jealous of all of Ed's toys (equipment).  He works hard to make sure they run correctly and are well maintained.  He's a genius (in my opinion) when it comes to things with moving parts.  He purchases equipment that doesn't work for dirt cheap and then goes through it intricate piece by piece.  He is so loving, PATIENT, and kind.

Owen shares his dad's love of being outside and in the garage.  He's one lucky kid to get to be able to play like this.  Here he is dismantling the big tv.  He LOVES to see what is inside of things.

It's so nice to see a young person actually exploring/working and enjoying it! Looks like this project might take awhile, have fun Owen!

I think you have gotten your use out of that TV! 20+ years is great! You are so lucky to have such a handy husband! They can make life so much easier. As I was reading down your post I thought the TV would be going to the trash, but how fabulous that Owen is taking it apart so see the guts.
