First 2012 Finish

Here's my first finish for 2012.  This tiny quilt only measures 24" x 28".  Earlier this week I was going through my scrap bin and found all these flying geese.  I remembered a quilt that Katrina did at     and thought this would be perfect for a charity quilt for my guild for the NICU.  It was a great practice of stippling.  I like the dog looking over the "water" into the "high grass"... little does he realize that the "geese" are on the other side.

Here's a couple of close-ups of the quilting.  I'm pretty happy with it!

Free Motion Quilting Project

Yes, we got about 4" of Ohio snow about two days ago.  Some places around our house there are 12" drifts
in the driveway.  My FIL lives up the street about a quarter mile, and he didn't even need his driveway plowed.  We are in a more open area that drifts and drifts and drifts.  It's pretty.  You can see alot of deer!

Another great thing about this quilt is that it was entirely made from my stash!  Whohoo!  Check out other items made from stash at the blog From The Blue Chair.  http://www.fromthebluechair.com/2012/01/slash-stash-january-edition.html

The dog is pretty fun, especially how you explained about the geese being on the other side. Beautiful work in piecing and quilting. Way to go!
