June OMG Goal

Welcome SUMMER VACATION!  Today is the first official day that our son does not have school.  Let the summer fun being.

My OMG goal for June is to finish this big quilt:

The above photo is from my original Goal posted 12.17.16 here.
The first thing is done.  I needed to finish the three blocks in the bottom row that were not made into blocks yet.  One of the members did not have time to finish the project but had it to the last stage.  Here are the three blocks completed:

These blocks were made by members of my local quilt guild.  We swapped them for Christmas, 2016.  Each member that participated requested blocks using certain colors.  My colors were grey blocks with red centers.  (Sometimes not all members understand the Disappearing 9-Patch blocks.)  The one in the bottom right is correct.  See how some members threw in more red, white, and even a couple of blues?  It happens.  I'll make it work.

This quilt is also #10 on my 2017 Goals list (tab at the top of my blog.)  Besides OMG (One Main Goal) I participate in the American Patchwork and Quilting 2017 UFO Challenge on facebook here.

I'm linking up at Elm Street Quilts here for the June goal setting party.
