The Triangle QAL -- Friday Finish

Today was supposed to be my first day mowing for the year.  I LOVE to mow the lawn.  It's raining.  Change in schedule.  I decided to cook   clean   Q U I L T and drink pumpkin spice coffee!  It's time to finish our Triangle QAL quilts and link up with Paula at The Sassy Quilter.

Layout of this quilt was totally random.  I just pulled a piece from the bin and sewed.  After the triangles were in rows I did the same thing.  I just pulled a row from the pile and sewed.

Here's my little crib quilt for The Triangle QAL.  It is mostly solids with one gingham, one linen, one bed sheet, one polyester, one corduroy and a couple of my regular cotton solids.   It measures 32.5" x 57".  If I had to do it again I would have probably made it wider.  I really like the bright colors against the background of the rainy day.  I'm super happy with the solid orange binding.

Layout of this quilt was totally random.  I just pulled a piece from the bin and sewed.  After the triangles were in rows I did the same thing.  I just pulled a row from the pile and sewed.  I longarm quilted it with my versatile Circle Lord Swirls.  I think it gives the triangles plenty of motion.

I used my Accuquilt GO! Baby and the Accuquilt GO! Equilateral Triangle-4 1/2" Sides 4 1/4" Finished -  Die 55429.  That made cutting the different types of fabric scraps much easier.

The backing fabric are cute little sea urchins (maybe snails).  This fabric was given to me from a friend and also on the scrap pile.

Here's a close-up of the little sea urchins.

I'm also happy to link up with Bea at Beaquilter blog for the Accuquilt Go Challenge April.  The challenge for April was to make something using the GO! Equilateral Triangle die.  Every month on the 15th  Bea (who is awesome with EQ7) shows us an Accuquilt project and different options to use a featured die.  Fun, fun!  Thanks, Bea!

I love the bright colors and the backing is perfect. That swirl quilting is sweet and softens the angles. Love it! Great finish.
