2017 FAL Q1 Goal Setting

Finish-A-Long 2017

It's time to set my goals for the 2017 FAL.  I know there are a ton of WIPS on my list (91) and that is not an obtainable goal.  BUT you never know what I will work on.  I propose to finish at least SIX of these goals.

I'm linking up with Ella at Throw a Wench in the Works blog.On the top of my list for the first quarter are:

Stars, Stripes & Other Stuff quilt
Sunbonnet Sue charity quilt
Quilt Doodle Designs BOM
Tumbler Rug with border
Large Tumbler rug without border
Bonnie Hunter's 2015 Mystery quilt Allietare!
Candy Cane wall hanging kit from my neighbor, Karen

Some of you may have seen my long, long list of WIPS.  At the start of the year I had 85 WIPS!  I found a few more and now have 90!

I'm setting a goal to reduce my WIPS in 2017.  Last week I counted and I had 72 WIPS.  Then Itried t take a few pictures and ended up with 85, then I found more TODAY in the guild charity bin... Holy moly I'll be busy...  But some of these on the list have not yet been started, but I do hope to participate in the QA's and such.

Yes, I said it.  I have 91 WIPS!!!

Here's a couple of them to wet your appetite:

Bonnie Hunter's 2014 Mystery, Celtic Solstice (still working on that back...)

...and this will also be a finish for 2017 because I purchased the back for it on Black Friday, 2016 -- Bonnie Hunter's 2015 mystery, Allietare!

Quilt Doodle Designs 2016 BOM needs to be completed by the blog hop 1/17 - 1/22/17:

Expect some cute little finishes too:

Since my post on 1/1/17, I have found a few more projects that need finished (surprise...) But I did finish ONE project already for 2017 here.  I also updated my "finishes" tab at the top of the page.  You can click on it and see all my finishes!

Tumbler Rug needs back and longarmed:

And another rug:

I found two other tumbler rugs but didn't get a photo... one is for by the washing machine and the other is for the boot area.  I know there were five rugs in total planned for the kitchen.

Here's a snapshot of how I'm starting 2017.  Items are sorted by stages.  When something is completed I'll move it to the next stage until it gets crossed off at the bottom with the FINISHES.
