Cafe' Mocha -- Moving It Forward Monday with the Ugly Quilt

I'm still working on my Cafe' Mocha (Amanda Murphy pattern).  Row by row.  It's been a WIP for several years (2014ish).  The pieces need resewn because some of them are coming apart from me handling them too much back then.  But I'm still working...

I love it!

Working on it during the FNSI (Friday Night Sew In) really helped it along.

I'm laying out the pieces on the floor next to my sewing machine/computer area.  I'm hoping to disperse the different "ugly fabrics" as much as possible.  (Seriously, I'm loving the looks of this quilt.  I don't think there's anything ugly about it.)

I'm linking up at Em's Scrap Bag for Moving It Forward Monday.

You are making great progress. I have a tip that might help with the problem of seams coming apart from handling. When I get about an 1" or so from an seam that will be on the outside edge I change my stitch length to 1.5. The smaller stitches don't come apart as easily as the 2.5 stitches will.

That is looking great. It's the perfect pattern for your "ugly" fabric.
