End of Summer Swimming

Here's a few photos taken last weekend while we were swimming in our GREEN pool.  It's not really as bad as it looked...  The temperature was in the 90's -- very warm for Ohio in September.  One week later (today) it's in the 50's.  Brrrr!  Bring on the pumpkin spice, I guess.

Slow Sunday Stitching

Here's two projects in one pic.  I'm working on sewing EPP hexies without puckers...  It seems that they go away once I take the papers out and sew it to my quilt block.  I'm not to stressed about this.  I also stitched some medium green leaf parts on my pre-printed cross stitch project.

RSC18 -- Blue

I know I'm not working on the dark blues today, but it's blue none the less.  Shhh.  Don't call the quilt police.  Slowly basted these hexagon pieces this week and now I'm assembling the flower for my applique baby quilt.

A Friday Finish

This week I was able to give back a customer another quilt.  Whoop, whoop!  I love the Circle Lord giant board called Loopys.  My friend calls it "wishbone".  Either way, it look beautiful on this scrappy quilt.

Slow Sunday Stitching

This week I was able to complete one of my EPP hexagon flowers for a baby quilt.

I also completed a blue flower on my printed cross stitch pillow case.

Kathy has given us a photo challenge to show where we like to stitch.  I really like to stitch while waiting on our son at speech.  Next week I'll get about 60 - 90 minutes stitching at Saturday morning bowling.  During the summer I like to stitch from the front porch and watch the chickens in the background.  I don't let them out often because we have six fox on the property.  On the days I can let them out and keep an eye on them, stitching is involved.  Here's my view to the chicken yard:

And then there are times when I like to stitch at my desk and watch movies from the library on my computer.  This time I was watching the movie How to Be A Latin Lover.  No, Eugenio Derbez is not in my living room watching me stitch.  LOL.  It was a cute movie... something I just grabbed quick from the library shelf.

RSC18 Finishing Strong with the Orange

I finished strong with the orange scraps this week by completing nine Block Lotto blocks.  Look at all those orange scraps and their warm friends.

 

A little more "orange" work this week was to get my husband mower blades for his birthday.  I took pics of the mower with my phone to make sure I ordered the right ones at the parts store.

 

Here's my favorite ORANGE moment of the week.  Owen and I swimming in our GREEN pool.  We needed to stir up the algae to get the filter to suck it out.  It looks yucky, but it's not that bad.
