This is the last batch of charm baskets that I have cut and sewn. My next step is to lay them out and then make a few to fill in the gaps if needed.
19 charm baskets completed this week.
227 baskets of 202 needed for the quilt are now complete. My baskets are trimmed to 4.25" vs. the recommended 4.5" unfinished block due to wonkiness. 52.5" x 64.5" finished is the quilt pattern size. I'll be cutting the rest of the baskets pieces this week and then see what that makes before I decide on the larger than suggested quilt size.
The quilt pattern is called Charm Basket by Laundry Basket Quilts. It is an Edyta Sitar design. I also stitched circles on two Dicey blocks this week in blue (Rainbow Scrap Challenge 2025.)
I also added a red flower to my hexagon project. I don't know how big this project will get. I'm just adding random flowers and buds. I don't know if I'll add green leaves... (it's probable that I will add leaves since green is one of my favorite colors). It's a slower process, but then again the basket handles were a slow process in the beginning, and now I have to find time to put all of them together on the bed. So here's the hexies on the desk of the room where I will be for the rest of this school year. I have accepted a long-term job to fill in for a teacher that will be out the rest of the year. I am honored that this school picked me to fill the job.
I'm linking up with Kathy's Quilts for Slow Sunday Stitching here.

Congratulations on the new job for the rest of this school year or is it until the end of 2025? The baskets are going to be such a lovely quilt, hope you can find time to finish it , happy stitching!
A long term job will be a treat - you can really get to know the kids that way! Your baskets are so cute. I can't believe you've made more than you need!
I knew you would be finishing up those baskets this week. Now you can arrange and rearrange them to your heart's content!
Another sweet group of baskets! Love your red flower!
Congrats on your long term sub spot, Kathy, and on getting some RED scrap sewing done this week!
