Scrap Happy Saturday -- April Aqua

Today I only had time for one 12.5" block for my Owl's Well That Ends Well project.  I've decided to change the wing just a little on this one.  It kinda looks like the owl is standing with its wing on its hip.  My kid does a dance move called the "dab".  He'll probably think that's what the owl is doing.

I have tons of blue scraps.  I was shocked when I sorted fabrics to see that I did have a nice shoebox bin full of aqua.  I love that swirly print that I used for the owl's body.  I only had one strip of that.  I might as well use it somewhere that it will be enjoyed.

This pattern is from the book Quilts for Scrap Lovers by Judy Gauthier.  The original block size was 15.5", but I made it more Accuquilt die friendly for me.

Linking up with Angela at SoScrappy for the RSC19.

That owl just keeps getting cuter and cuter. I've seen a lot of them in the last week or so. Love the aqua wings.

Oh, that owl is adorable! We did an owl block for Tiny Tuesday on the RSC link. It's fun to see so many owls ... what do you call a group of owls, I wonder....
