Moving it Forward Monday -- Homestead Harvest Piecing

This is one of my new hand stitching projects emerged in my to-go bag! It was already on my WIP list for 2017.  It is called "Homestead Harvest" from Simple Appeal, 14 Patchwork and Applique Projects for Everyday Living by Kim Diehl.  I borrowed this book from the library.  This little quilt will measure 40.5" x 40.5" when finished.  I just started with the applique green vine.  Ooops!  Looks like from the picture I need to fix that top star point before going too far!

The green in the middle is the first vine applique that is finished.  There's lots of applique to go.

I'm working on putting the outer sawtooth blocks together today.  This is what the outside of the book looks like:

I'm linking up with Em's Scrapbag for Moving it Forward Monday at Em's Scrap Bag.
