Summer Sampler Series (Extra block)

GO! Block #1: Twisted 4-Point Star

Here's another block for my Summer Sampler Series quilt.  I am making additional blocks to make the quilt bigger.  I got this pattern from the Accuquilt block of the month e-mails.

The block (unfinished) measured 12" x 12".  I see some sashing in my future for this quilt.  This is using regular settings on my sewing machine and the quarter-inch foot.  I think I could use this block for the Block Swap Adventure blocks in the future if I moved used my regular foot and set the needle over to 1.5.  It also used the parallelogram 3 3/4" x 3 1/2" die (make sure all fabric is facing up!) and the 3" half square finished triangle die.

Not much sewing happened this week.  We took a mini vacation and took our four-year old to an indoor waterpark plus some other activities in that area such as a zoo and hiking.  LOVED it!!!  Had a blast.
