WIP Wednesday -- A Midweek Quilt Finish!

I love it when I finish a quilt during the week!  Finishes aren't just for Fridays anymore.  It's summer.
Here's what happened this week:

I finished the longarm quilting on this customer quilt.  I call it the Veggie Tales patchwork quilt.

It's fun how the customer did the border.  She is using the fabrics that he has.  Many of them in the multiple borders are sheets.  They are not even.  They don't all match.  This is definitely a quilt made for her grandchild with pieces of  LOVE!  I love it!

I quilted it with my Clam Shells giant template board by Circle Lord.  It is backed by a plain sheet.

I'm linking this customer quilt finish at the Beauties Pagent at From Bolt to Beauty.

On Saturday I started pressing and cutting pink scraps for the QA with Kevin the Quilter.  I am using my 2.5" multiple (9 at a time) Accuquilt die to give me nice, accurately cut squares.  I pressed and cut these while watching the dvd "Walt Before Mickey".  It was good.  So I have 300 cut in under two hours.  I also have a pile of scraps from these scraps that will be run through the 1.5" Accuquilt die.

For the quiltalong, check out all the details on Kevin the Quilter's Blog.

I have used that Accuquilt mat too many times.  Don't worry.  I ordered two more on Amazon.  That's where I found the best price on the 10" x 10" mats this time.  Combined with free shipping on an order over $25 and the points I received from signing my husband's Discover card up for 5% back on fuel purchases, I got a great deal on the new ones coming next week at $6 a piece.   Totally worth it!

I cut these on Saturday morning in hopes that the RSC color for July was pink.

Speaking of the RSC19, I made two blocks for Owl's Well That Ends Well in dark blue.

I also had time to make a bunch of blue 4-patches out of my 1.5" squares (1" finished.)

The weather was beautiful and sunny this week so far.  We have been swimming hours at a time.

I'm linking up to:
