Customer Green Patchwork Quilt -- A Friday Finish

This week I finished the longarm quilting on this green patchwork customer quilt.   I'm happy to cross another item off of my long list of projects!

I longarm quilted it using my R&S Design template boards (merged with Urban Elementz).  It is called Mola.  It is a set of six blocks.  There is a fish, gecko, butterfly, bird, flowers, and leaves with a tropical/tribal vibe to it.  I used white thread on both sides.  I continued to rotate the boards so that the pattern was different in each row.  These boards are

Here's a picture of the back with the sun shining through.  The customer gave me a gently used sheet for the back.  There was only one inch on the bottom and 1/2 inch on the top extra.  Whew, that's close.  Yes, I charged her extra for me to sew my own fabrics to the top and bottom so that I could attach it to the longarm frame.  Normally I require 5" on all sides of the quilt for longarm services.

I'm linking up with Myra at Busy Hands Quilts for Finished or not Friday.

Congrats, Kathy! It's always feels SEW good to get client quilts done. The last two green quilts I did were with a soft shade of green on one and a soft gold on the other. Using the white really made the quilting pop!
