Scrappy Blue Saturday RSC17

I worked with blue scraps this week while making Garden Party (pattern by Bonnie Hunter) blocks.  Each block either has a blue center, a blue cross, or a blue outline.  There's blue somewhere...

I had to make one more block for the center before Garden Party could grow a row.  It was dark green.  Happy stitching everybody.  Play with those scraps!  Use them up!

Then I stitched them together.  I needed to get a good look at how they all look with 8 blue in the row.  Ahhh.  Perfect.  I really can't tell that I'm using so much of one scrap when they are being put on point this way!  Yeah!  Oh that looks so much better than on the floor.  Notice it now has THREE corners.  I'm more than half way there and on the downhill part of the fun.

You can find the pattern for this quilt in Bonnie Hunter's book, Addicted to Scraps.  I am making my quilt just a couple rows bigger than the pattern.

This motivates me more to also work on my little four patches for the Go Four It quilt.  They make great leaders and enders.  We all know that 4-patches add up quickly.

You can read about the start of my Go For It quilt here.  It started in June, 2017.

I'm linking up with Angela at SoScrappy for the RSC17 linky party.  Come join the fun.  Be inspired!

There is just something uplifting about being more than halfway done with piecing a quilt! She looks lovely and you are right, you can't tell you are adding rainbow colors. Hope you get lots of time this week to stitch.

It's wonderful, it works to concentrate on a color in a row - it still loks random and scrappy

THREE corners?! Way to go, Kathy!!! LOVE that you are making progress on your Go Four It quilt at the same time, with the use of Bonnie's leader/ender system. BOTH of these quilts are going to be FABULOUS!!

Sew exciting to have 3 corners done and on the down hill swing to the last one. Great job.
