Moving it Forward -- The Big Basket Quilt -- July OMG Goal

I'm moving this quilt forward.  The longarm quilting is complete on the Big Basket Quilt.  This quilt is for my local quilt guild.  It will be a charity quilt (auction or other).

It had a lot of fullness to work in.   Even with the somewhat dense quilting of the Circle Lord giant template board called Egyptian Eye, it really turned out nice.  I used high loft polyester batting this time.  Here's the scrappy back I put together using odds and ends pinks and light blues.  I love the texture of this giant board.  Circle Lord boards are somewhat pricy at about $339 plus shipping for a king set.  You can see their boards here.  BUT, if I use a board four times for a customer(s) at $100/quilt the boards pay for themselves.  This board has more than paid for itself.  Yeah!  Mission accomplished.  Egyptian Eye and Swirls are my most requested edge to edge designs.  Up next, a label and binding.  Hopefully this quilt will be off my check list soon.

I'm setting this as my OMG! (One Main Goal) for July to finish.  Set a goal, blog about it, and come meet us at the July Goal Setting Party at Elm Street Quilts.
