I don't need a fancy set of measuring cups. These remind me of the life I had before I married my awesome husband, his grandma, and my mom. When I am baking I definitely need more than one of the same size. Mix n match measuring cups -- it's all good! :)

Elf on the Shelf Measures Up
Chippy found himself in a measuring cup this week. (This makes for a good place to hide for days when Mommy needs to get out of the house in time in the morning and we don't have time to look for the silly little elf...)
Slow Sunday Stitching -- Block 9 COMPLETE!
I finally have the big block 9 complete. Here it is in all its glory:
I've been working from Cheryl Wall's book Welcome Home. I really like the quilt designs in the book. The instructions are illustrated nicely. They are easy to follow. The only thing I don't like about the book is that the instructions are cut, sew, cut, sew... I sat one day and just wrote out all the cutting instructions on pages and pages of notebook paper to help streamline the process when it comes to stitching the blocks. Other than that, I LOVE the book!
I think it's beautiful!

I'm linking up to Slow Sunday Stitching at Kathy's Quilts. It's another gorgeous day outside here in Ohio. The Cleveland Indians didn't win the World Series, BUT second place isn't that bad. Have a great week, everybody!

Cousin Eddie the Elf
My sewing skills are up to par, but when I need a quick scene for Chippy our Elf, I threw together this Cousin Eddie costume (From the scene from Christmas Vacation). I made a bath robe, bomber hat, and mini coke can to accessorize the little camper. Can you just hear Chippy saying, "Shi**er's full!" as he empties the waste from the camper?
The Nested Churn Dash QA table topper makes a nice little place to camp!

RSC16 -- D9P Blocks Complete!
This week I HAD to finish the disappearing 9-patch blocks for my local quilt guild. Our annual Christmas party is on Tuesday, December 6. There are two blocks for each person in the swap (plus my tester block is shown.) The blocks I receive should be greys with red centers. Can't wait for the party! It's always fun. I truly care for ALL of the members in our guild.
I'm linking up with Angela at SoScrappy for the RSC16 (Rainbow Scrap Challenge). I need to be realistic and see what goals I will set for next year. I hope to finish a few of the other RSC's I have started in past years! Only a few blocks to go on several of them. 2017 should be a year of quilt tops and finishes for me when it comes to RSC! I do have one exciting new project for RSC, but it appears to be a simple one. :) Happy holidays, y'all!

Last Let's Book It
Let's Book It has been a lot of fun with Sharon at Vroomans Quilts. This is the last linky party for Let's Book It. This week I have been spending a lot of time cutting, cutting, sorting little scraps of shirtings, and cutting some more. It doesn't look like a lot, but this is a WHOLE quilt from Cheryl Wall's book, Welcome Home.
Here's all the pieces for the little wall quilt of One House, Two House... it's large, medium, and small house blocks with all the extra filler blocks. It just looks so small when it's neatly organized in sandwich bags.

A Zippy Pouch -- A Friday Finish
I'm not a purse person, but I made my first zippy pouch using the Elm Street Quilts tutorial. Patty did a nice job on the tutorial. I need some work lining up the seams on my zipper... but it's cute and done. I'm linking up to the Bag It Check in at the linky party at Elm Street Quilts here.
I'm also linking up with Myra at Busy Hand Quilts for Finished or not Friday -- check out her new pattern while you are at it. It's adorably scrappy!

OMG! December Goal
For December my OMG project will be finishing this charity quilt for my local quilt guild.

December is a busy month. I will make time to trim this quilt, make binding, and bind it. Happy holidays, y'all!
