Slow Sunday Stitching

I added on to a project that I started earlier this year for my sew-to-go bag.  It's still a nice, manageable size.  It's called Short & Sweet by Kim Diehl.  I know my petals aren't going to be perfect.  I'm trying a couple different ways of applique on this project.  Either way I'm going to learn as I go and enjoy the process.  I LOVE the colors and fabrics for sure.

I also got a little more than "something" done on my counted cross stitch project.  I'm looking through books from the library for flowers and vines and such to add to it so that it's more colorful and fun to fit my personality.  This is just the center of the project.

I'm not sure if I showed you my finished WIP from 1982 or not so I'll post it again.  I put a hanger on the back and finished the little border for it.  It's pinned to a wall hanging by my sewing machine right now.  I'll eventually move it to the longarm room.  I have the perfect place for it up there.

I also had ANOTHER Slow Sunday Stitching project finish this week!  It's this cute embroidery bear crib quilt.  Below is a pic, but you can read all the details here.

I'm linking up with Kathy for Slow Sunday Stitching.

The petals really brighten up your quilt and the bear quilt is lovely! Cross stitching takes a lot of patience. Happy stitching!

I love how you finished your 80s project. It has made me realize that I don't like the lettering that I am currently using in a design. I have been looking at one similar to your project. I like your new cross-stitch project. The bear quilt is beautiful. I loved watching you work on it.

I laughed when I read the stitchery about stabbing something 1000 times! So funny! Great job on the finishes and love that top quilt. I have yet to see a 'perfect' leaf in nature.... you are doing great!

I love your words I'm going to learn as I go and enjoy the process. That is exactly how I feel. I love your leaves and this piece will be wonderful for sure.

Some wonderful projects. I really like what you are doing with that first quilt. I don't think it matters if the petals aren't perfectly patterned. I would probably get some out of line on purpose. =)
