WIP Wednesday 8.1.12

Early post today because we are headed to the Ohio State Fair (as long as my son is feeling better when he wakes up -- he's had a sore throat since early Monday)!  Can't wait to see all the quilts.  My grandmother had at least six state grand champion quilts while I was a kid (plus tons of crochet items that also won.)  Hopefully I'll have a few pictures of this year's items for you later this week.  Anywho... here's what I did this week.  (My little man was sick for a couple of days... :(  so I got in just a little more sewing than normal.
Here's a few flowers that I did this week.  I don't have the hang of putting them all together just yet, but I still think they are cute.

Here's the block I did yesterday for the Tetris QA.  It's #3 of 6 blocks.

I got all nine blocks for the August Block Lotto done using the sneak peek.  These are Jacob's Ladder blocks in cool colors:

I'm excited that the August UFO number is 7.  I haven't worked on this one since November 2011.  I love this quilt!  I's Dutchman's Puzzle and I used vintage sheets.  I hope I can squeeze a little time in at the end of the month to quilt it.  Borders should be easy, I hope.  I bought the border and backing at $3/yd when our LQS went out of business.  That means I am supposed to work on this UFO:

I also managed to finish my August Block Swap Adventure block early during a sleepless night.  This block is for Karen in Portland, OR.  It is the signature block from Quilter's Cache.

The tumbler charm quilt continues.  Here's 17 rows.
