Slow Sunday Stitching -- Make That Unstitching!

Ugh.  I always say that ten minutes of stitching on my longarm machine is equal to one hour of unstitching if it has to be ripped out.  I still stand by that estimate.  This is a customer quilt.  I just wasn't happy with how the tension was looking when I came to a part of the longarm quilting where I had to slow down in the corners of the pieces between the swirls.  I started tearing out the really bad spots while it was on the frame.  Three hours of that was enough.  I unloaded the quilt and took it with me to the living room.  I decided to rip out EVERYHING...even the basting stitches.  Grrr...

Luckily I picked a week when Ohio temperatures were in the low 60's.  It was okay to have a quilt over my legs.  It's all done now.  Early this week I hope to get it back on the frame and finished.  I need to get these last two customer quilts finished so that I can move on the the projects that I want to play with this summer.

I'm linking up at Kathy's Quilts for Slow Sunday Stitching.

Unstitching is not fun but I'm always glad when I take the time to do it. Hope you can get the tension problem resolved and get the customer quilts finished so you can move onto your own quilts. Happy Stitching!

Never fun to undo quilting. May the quilting go smoothly the next round so you can get to play with your quilt soon.

Well that is NOT fun hand work! Hope you also get some time to relax with the peacock project. Enjoy your slow stitching and thanks for linking up!

The pleasant part of your task was to be under a quilt ;) Hope your thread tension will be good after that

How frustrating for you, even more as it was a customer's quilt. Hope the tension issue is sorted and you can get this finished and off your machine.
