Four Patch Fun is Complete

I finished my Four Patch Fun leader/ender project.  The leader/ender 2025 challenge was led by Bonnie Hunter.  You can read more about this on her blog here.

You can see the bottom edge got cut a little wonky... I thought I had enough of the backing for this little quilt.  When I loaded it on the longarm I gave myself about 2" extra play.  Bummer.  I didn't have enough backing for the bottom edge.  Oh well.  I don't think the baby will notice and I'm obviously not a perfectionist.  It turned out at 36.5" square.

This quilt went together quickly.  I was happy to get a lot done on it this week because I knew I would have a lot of time to stitch on Thursday and Friday at school.  The pre-school where I sub as often as I can has a 45 minute prep time in the morning, a 45 minute lunch, and a 1.5 hour planning period at the end of the day.  That's three hours of stitching to me!  The reason for the 1.5 hours planning period at the end of the day is because they promissed the district that they would provide bussing to all of the students if it was needed.  Due to the serious lack of bus drivers (in all of the districts where I work) students are picked up earlier than they typically would be picked up.  I am pretty sure days are added in to the schedule to make up for the short days to meet the hour requirements for the school year.

More details on this quilt is in my blog post here.

I'm linking up at Angela's blog, SoScrappy, for the RSC25 here.  I loved working with the pink and yellow scraps and neutral vintage sheets.  I didn't feel that I needed a huge quilt in these colors.  It was also nice to be able to take it in my sew-to-go bag.

Next week I'll be posting my plans for 2026.
