Beautiful Ohio...and the Weather

Holy cow! It's April already.  I'm still having a little trouble wrapping my head around the fact that the first quarter of 2018 is already gone.

My husband "replanted" my sundrops (flowers from my grandma).  I'm not sure the technical name of them.  I don't have many things from my Grandma Schaller.  I cherish these little flowers that are some of the first to bloom.  My dad told me that she called them sundrops because they bloom in the snow and make a sunny spot.  My husband is putting in a different driveway.  The sundrops were in the way.  I knew when we planted them that they would have to move.  Here is their new home thanksto my husband and the front end loader.

My husband also trimmed and moved all the flowering shrubs that were in the way with his backhoe.  He moved Rose of Sharon, lilac, mock apple, and forsythia bushes.  All these were done on Saturday, 3/31.  It was a beautiful day in the high 50's.  I told my husband that if it stayed windy and dry like this that he'd have to hook up the tank for me with the four wheeler so that I could water everything.  THAT was a funny statement now that you see all the precipitation that we had with the rain and snow we had this week.

Easter Sunday, 4/1/18.  Only a sweatshirt was needed during the Easter egg hunt.

(The snow on the Ohio ground is playing tricks with my brain.)  Oh well...I love our beautiful Ohio.  (Pictures our 11 year old took while driving down the driveway this week are below.  It's gorgeous!)  There was no school today because it was still "Spring Break".

And here's a few of the little flood we had due to a HUGE rain storm.  I've never seen water accumulate at this point on our property and run down this hill.  All these pictures were taken during this week. :)  So much for my husband having to worry about watering my flowing shrubs!

I love that point of spring when the grass gets bright green.  We're getting there.

Mother Nature has a way of mocking our statements. It does not look like spring there. We're sending you a few days of heat so hold on.
