WIP Wednesday 9/3/14

School is back in session.  I will hopefully be back into the swing of things as far as quilting goes soon!  Here's what I have been working on lately:

Yesterday I finished block 9 of the Pat Sloan Globetrotting Mystery BOM.

 

Here's all the blocks thus far.  I'm not that thrilled with my colors at this point.

I'm caught up with the blocks for the Sew at Home Mummy Classic Meets Modern QA.

 

 

I finished longarming swirls on the 2014 Pegasus charity quilt for my local quilt guild.

 

 

Here's the Window blocks that I made for the August Block Lotto.  They will be put in the mail tomorrow to three of the six lucky winners.  What a fun time with scraps!

 

 

I had to unfortunately learn how to butcher chickens.  These "Craigslist" Barred Rock Chickens never got better from eating each others feathers.  They would not eat any of the chicken feed that I offered them and would only eat scraps.  The three of them would lay less than seven eggs per week.  But I did learn another skill -- butchering chickens -- thanks to YouTube.

 My WIP count this week went from 39 to 38.  My WIP goal for New Years Day 2015 is 19.  I'm linking up with Lee at Freshly Pieced for WIP Wednesday!

 

I am working from this list right now.  I need to get caught up on my BOM's and county fair projects.

 

1.  Complete my Born on the 4th flag quilt before the fair deadline of 8/20.
