A 7-year old made this!

I finished longarm quilting this rail fence quilt.  It was made by a 7-year old!  She is part of the Teach a Kid How to Sew program in our local quilt guild.   I know she is going to love the quilting.  I boldy quilted it in bright blue Cosmos.  This is a Circle Lord quilting pattern.  It came out great!  I will give this back to her tomorrow.  She will then learn how to trim it, make the binding, and bind it.  Awesome, huh?

I'm happy to link up today's finish with Richard and Tanya Quilts for the Link-A-Finish FRIDAY.

  2. What a great job she did! I think the quilting pattern is a great choice. My 8 yo boy just finished his first quilt, although not as big! It is such a great thing for kids to learn. I've never heard of Circle Lord before and had to look it up! That's cool!

  3. Wow, she did really well, it turned out lovely! I like the blue thread you used, shows up great! I am so glad that young girls are learning to sew, Jayden wants to learn and it makes me so happy.
