Celtic Solstice Clue #2 Accuquilt Style

All cut and ready to sew!  For Clue #2 of Bonnie Hunter's 2013 Mystery Quilt, Celtic Solstice, I used my Accuquilt GO! dies   Yeah, Accuquilt -- I LOVE YOU!

 Here my first few:

Here's how I sew them without drawing lines.  I line up the flat sections of the triangles onto the rectangle.  Then I stitch along the triangle edge.

Here's a better view of how the HST align with the rectangles.  I try to stitch just a hair over from the corner to corner lines so that when I flip the HST piece it covers the proper area.

The unit on the left is lined up with the two corners and one side of the HST.  The one on the right is lined up with two corners and one side.  In both instances make sure the small piece at the corner at the top lines up square with the rectangle corner.

Kathy, did you mean 976 triangles instead of squares? I'm going to need to order an Accuquilt because my carpal tunnel flared up with all this cutting. I can't finish without ordering one. Thank you for posting this it saves me research time on which machine and dies.

Yes. I edited my post to say, "for the 976 2” neutral squares (I'm using 976 triangles from die 55319)
for the 976 2” yellow/gold (maroon) (I'm using 976 triangles from die 55319)."
Thanks, Myra!

Thank you for figuring this out for us. Can't wait to get started on step 2. :) Hoping to get the Go for Christmas. :)

Correction! It should be...

The LARGE quilt needs 244 Chevron units.

For the LARGE quilt cut:
488 2” X 3-1/2” green rectangles
488 2” neutral squares (I'm using 488 triangles from die 55319)
488 2" yellow/gold squares (maroon) (I'm using 488 triangles from die 55319)

Kathy, thanks so much for helping us math challenged souls. I will look at how you sewed the triangles to the rectangle.

Just making sure I understand before I place my accuquilt order....the 55319 will make a 1.5 triangle?

Myra -- Did you see that we are also using the Accuquilt die #55319 for clue #3? Whohoo!

Yes I did and now that I finally got the accuquilt and my dies it's time to get to cutting. I'm still on the first clue but steady as she goes.

Kathy, could you send me the picture that you've posted here as to line up the 1/2 sq triangle on the rectangle? I so far behind all I can see is everyone's threads and dust blowing LOL. My eyes can't tell if you're lining up top, bottom and side and sewing a 1/4 in. That's my assumtion
