WIP Wednesday 11/16/11

This week I FINISHED my little table topper for the Duo QA.  It turned out lovely.  I love the FMQ on it.  It measures a little 20.5" by 20.5".  Part of the purpose for this QA was to do hand stitching and FMQ.  I opted to not do the hand stitching because I don't think I'll ever want to do that.  BUT I did use the stitch on my machine and the clear thread on the top that made the machine stitching have the look of hand stitching.

I LOVE the log cabin block from Karen in OR!  This is from Block Swap Adventure swap.  The colors are great.  Look at that cute fabric in the center with the numbers.  Sweet!

A funny thing happened to my Drunkard's Path QA sub assembly blocks this week.  I made little progress because my 4-year-old helper accidentially found my scissors and cut ONE of each of the blocks.  Grrr.  My bad for leaving the scissors down low.  I didn't take any pictures of that!

Completed 25 of the Dutchman's Puzzle Blocks made with just vintage sheets and muzlin.  I was able to cut all of these out and wasn't planning on making this quilt yet.  But thanks to the service center where my truck was in the shop, I had PLENTY of time to get them all cut as I waited in their waiting are for 4.5 hours!  Glad I took a project with me instead of a book!!!
