2019 Summer Canning

It looks like my canning for 2019 has come to an end.  I do have a few tomatoes left to pick and eat, but they are falling off the vines and that time of year has come.  I'll be happy I planted so many tomatoes this summer while we enjoy things cooked with canned tomatoes this year.

I have never learned to can. My Mom did some when I was in high school. We rented a house and the basement was full of canning jars so all she needed to buy was lids. There was a grape arbor in the yard and Mom made canned grape juice. It was fabulous! Those tomatoes will taste good this winter. I can see you making sauce, Spanish rice, and soup with them. Good job getting so many jars put up.

Looks like you are ready for the winter months. That's a lot of work.
