RSC18 -- Scrap Saturday

At the end of October I really got serious with my green scraps.  I found out that my nephew's wife (that is due in February) is having her baby shower in NOVEMBER!!!  It is in just a few weeks!!!  I was totally in love with the scrappy leaves that Cynthia linked up a couple of weeks ago.  And Jocelyn's pumpkins were adorable too!

Here's a few pumpkin tops:

Here's the some of the leaves/stems:
I'm about 40 percent done with the leaves.

The pattern layout in the directions does not match the pattern in the photo.  Pumpkins and leaves are arranged differently.  I guess you always have options... :(  When I pay $10 for a pattern, I'm picky.

The pumpkins are quite cute.  I need to finish eight more.

I got the pattern called Pumpkins & the Beanstalk from Fig Tree & Co.  It's a cute quilt.  I'm not sure if it's my favorite way patterns are written.  All of the cutting instructions are smashed together with commas vs. magazine style in which each item is on a line by itself.  To each his own...

Linking up with Angela at SoScrappy for the RSC18.

I also do not like smashed together cutting directions. In fact, I normally copy the directions so I can check off each cutting after it is completed. I like the leave the original pattern unmarked just in case I make it a 2nd time. Way to put your own twist on the pumpkins. You'll have an original. Happy stitching!

What a beautiful way to use up green scraps! I'll have to keep that in mind next time I hit the scrap collection.
