2012 Free Motion Quilting Project Quilt Top Done

2012 should be a great year to learn free motion quilting (FMQ).  There are two great projects/challenges

SewCalGal's 2012 Free-Motion Quilting Challenge
Leah Day's Free Motion Quilting Project

Here's a little quilt top I whipped together from my scraps.  It is one of the suggestions from SewCalGal's blog.  It measures 46.5" x 46.5" right now.  Some of the border will be trimmed after it is FMQ'd after seeing Leah Day's instructions to make your quilt top bigger so that you don't have to quilt to the edge of
the quilt.  Great idea, because I got in to that problem yesterday on my flying geese baby quilt.  Each section of this baby quilt will have a different FMQ pattern.  I hope to FMQ it in Dusty Blue thread.
