WIP Wednesday 7.7.21

Life has been busy for another week.  I did get to work on a few quilty things.  I made the two purple blocks for my GO! ABC quilt.  This is a free pattern available on the Accuquilt site.

The beginning of the week my garden looked like this with all these weeds between the plants.

Today I tilled between the tomatoes and other plants.  Whew... the weeds are under control again!

I finished the quilting and trimmed the Owl's Well That Ends Well quilt.  I don't have a specific person in mind for this quilt.  When it is finished it will go on the gift pile.  A pink binding would look great on it, but I think it would make it too girly.  I'd like to keep this quilt gender neutral.  I will probably go with a light orange.  I didn't find enough bright green for a binding.  I don't have enough of the dot fabric on the border for a binding either.  And yes, I do have a 6' trampoline in the quilt room.

I quilted it with the Circle Lord Clam Shells giant template board.

Someone is getting excited about going camping and taking the RV for a spin.  He's been helping his dad every night this week to "work" on it.  I'm still wondering what sewing project I will pack this year.

I now stand at 54 projects on my WIP list.

Nice progress, Kathy! I'm happy to see that you used your clam shell board. How did you decide on that one. To me, that one always feels like the hardest one to choose to use.

The owl quilt is lovely! For some reason I thought it was for Owen. Happy stitching!
