WIP Wednesday -- Happy New Year

I had some time off work.  I moved some projects along!

I completed more box kite blocks that I had cut but not sewn.  This is a Bonnie Hunter pattern.

I'm all caught up through Clue #6 of Good Fortune (Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt for 2018.)

Just look at some of the fun neutrals in the strings!

I made a post about all of the finishes for 2018 and updated my Finishes tab at the top of the page.  You can read about my 23 finishes for 2018 here.

Even though my word for 2019 is FINISH, I'm going to allow myself several STARTS for 2019.

One of them will be the Temperature QA.  My goal will be to make one kite block per day.

I loaded and started quilting on this 4" patchwork customer quilt.

This slow stitching project (and gift for my sister-in-law) was my last finish of the year.

My OMG (one main goal) for January (at Elm Street quilts) is this lovely Pat Sloan QA.  It is called Summer Solstice.  RED is the color this month for the RSC19.  Win win!  It's time to make a back.

Since 2019 looks like it may have a string craze happening.  I played with these pink strings that I made back in February of 2014 for the RSC14.  Here's the start of this little quilt:

This customer crib quilt was my last Friday Finish for 2019.  I quilted it with a tumbling teddy template board Urban Elementz.

Here's the tumbling teddy board.  It was one of my Christmas presents.

I linked up for The Best of 2018 linky party hosted at Meadow Mist Designs.  I was somewhat shocked that the blog posts that had the most visits were work-in-progress posts and not finished quilts.  LOVE my followers!!!

I did not start any new projects this week.   I'm starting 2019 with my WIP list at 63 projects.  I've had list in the upper 90's in the past.  String quilt alongs are calling my name in 2019.  If I finish two projects this week I may join in at least two string projects.  There are already two on my in progress list!
