Hometown Block WIP Wednesday

This week I finished the hometown block which included EAST CANTON.  Go Hornets!  This block is for my secret Ohio quilt.

...and just because I LOVE my chickens, here's a picture of beautiful Tianna.  Normally the chickens are in the fenced-in area in the background.  Something might have spooked Tianna for her to get up high and get out.  I'm hoping it's the two kittens (Betty & Freddie) that are ornery and growing that I found as strays earlier this year.  Betty was guarding the gate when Tianna followed me back to the coop.  I'm hoping that is all that was happening and not one of the 7 fox trying to get a fast dinner.

I'm working to have this customer quilt finished by Friday.  It's a beautiful string quilt.  Stay tuned.
I got TONS of hand stitching done this week!
Remember my Block Lotto wonky basket blocks?  I WON this month.  I get to keep these and 20 more blocks will be in the mail.  Whohoo!!!  I'll be searching for ideas on how to arrange them.  If you have a favorite setting for baskets, PLEASE let me know!
Don't freak out at the 72 projects.  I've had list in the upper 90's in the past.  I did not have any finishes this week.

  1. Kathy, I'm SO glad your number was one of the two that came up! The blocks are going to look great in a quilt. I always like chain settings, but these aren't traditional baskets, so something more modern may look better. Your Ohio quilt project looks good. I think you were just west of where I drove going up to Cleveland ... unless my Ohio geography is backwards. LOL Your list is not too long from blocks already made down through ready to longarm. =)

  2. You have a lot of fun projects going on!
