WIP Wednesday 10.20.21

I'm still happily quilting along.  Our son had an amazing time at church camp.  We are super proud of him and how he has developed and matured as a teen to be able to participate in events like this.  I got a little sewing done while he was gone.

I loaded my Veggie Patch quilt (by Katie Mae Quilts) onto the longarm.  This is my OMG (one main goal) to finish be the end of the month.  Usually I procrastinate until the end of the month, but I'm on it with this one!  I am quilting it with Swirls by Circle Lord.

I took in another quilt from a friend to longarm for her.  This is made out of cotton draperies that used to hang in her daughter's living room.  It's fun to watch my friend develop as a quilter.  It's next in line to be quilted after the Veggie Patch quilt.  I'm pretty sure I will be quilting it with Swirls as well.

I dodged a bullet and avoided starting another project.  I really wanted to start another, but pulled out one I had already started instead.  This is called Cabins by the Lake.  I have set a goal to make one house block each week.

Playing with light and bright green scraps with the RSC (Rainbow Scrap Challenge) I completed and attached another row to my Pumpkins & the Beanstalk quilt.  Yeah!  Progress!

You have a week and a half to get the veggie quilt done; I am sure you can do it! My goal is to have the red t-shirt quilt done. My plan is to finish quilting it this weekend so that would leave me a week to get the binding and label done. I have another t-shirt quilt project coming tomorrow so I will be glad to get the red one done. I am happy to hear Owen had a good time at camp. I remember going to girl scout camp a couple times only we slept in tents on the ground. I don't remember having a sleeping bag, maybe just blankets. It was so long ago I just don't remember. Having smores was the best part!
